Waterfed Pole Window Cleaning System

The Waterfed Pole System is now the most popular method of cleaning windows in the UK. Pure water is pumped through a Sectional Extendable pole that has a soft cleaning brush and jets at the end for the water to come out of. Whilst the water is flowing, the brush is used on the Glass, Frames & Sills to aggravate and lift the dirt, and then the brush is pulled away from the glass so that the pure water can then rinse the dirt off the glass leaving it with nothing but pure water remaining so that the glass can dry perfectly spot and streak free with a shining finish.

When pure water is used on the glass it absorbs any dirt or chemicals it comes into contact with as the water attempts to return to it’s natural impure state. This means no added detergents are needed to clean the glass as the pure water alone has enough cleaning power to leave the glass dirt free.

How is the water pure? How do we purify our water?

The water used for cleaning windows is purified in a 5 stage reverse osmosis unit and a Deionisation filter resin vessel. This purifies the water 100% absorbing any dissolved impurities, that would usually be left on the glass. The water is now totally pure and when rinsed on the glass after cleaning it with the pole brush, the water will dry perfectly clear, leaving nothing visible remaining on the glass unlike impure water such as tap water normally would do.

We regularly change our filters and our resin to ensure that it is purifying the water to the standard needed to leave a spot free finish. We use a Total Dissolved Solids Meter, to regularly check the purity of the water. For pure water to be used on glass without leaving behind any water spotting or impurities it needs to have a TDS reading of between 000-010ppm. To put this into perspective the average TDS reading of tap water in the UK is around 100-200ppm, and for many people living down south it can go as high as 400ppm.
